2019 DIA Global Annual Meeting

Quorum Review IRB will attend and present at the DIA 2019 Global Annual Meeting June 23-27 in San Diego, CA. Kinetiq, the research and technology consulting division of Quorum, will also attend. Both Quorum and Kinetiq will exhibit at booth #2131.  In addition to exhibiting, thought leaders from Quorum and Kinetiq will speak at the conference.

Session: Improving Clinical Trial Risk Management: How To Leverage the IRB’s Designed Purpose
Speaker: Mitchell Parrish, Executive Vice President and General Counsel
IRBs are in a unique position to impact risk management in clinical trials. Their role is designed to protect research participants, but this can equate to furthering best practices in risk management and quality management systems. Two case studies will be discussed and three concrete examples given into how both institutional and central IRBs can further improve risk management, and those quality systems designed facilitate such management, through education, expanded feedback, and coordinating of information from all aspects of a clinical trial.

In this forum, experts will explore the international patchwork of regulatory requirements and policy recommendations for improving trial participant engagement by publishing layperson summaries and returning research results.

This forum will feature findings developed by the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI) to inform appropriate renovation of ICH E6. Panelists will share survey analysis based on multi-stakeholder input and evaluate case studies.
