In September 2017, Kathryn German, a Quorum Senior Translator, was asked by the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (part of the Canadian Translators, Terminologists, and Interpreters Council) to act as volunteer Chair for the Ethics Committee of their organization of almost 800 members. Kathryn was also asked to become a member of the national Ethics Committee of the American Translators Association, an organization of over 11,000 members, having successfully completed required testing. Each committee handles business, ethical, and certification disputes for its members.
