Study Start-Up ProcessWelcome to the Quorum study start-up process. We are committed to working with you to make the submission process as straightforward as possible. To ensure prompt review of your submission, complete all submission forms according to the instructions provided. All submission elements must be completed thoroughly before they will be submitted to the institutional review board/research ethics board for review.
To allow adequate time for preparation and review, Quorum requires that submission materials are received at least one week in advance of the IRB/REB meeting at which they will be discussed. Board meetings are held each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, excluding holidays. Our Wednesday meeting includes review of research at Canadian sites; read more about our North American Review Ethics Board here). The Quorum Review Board Meeting Schedule lists all scheduled meetings for the current calendar year and the submission deadline for each. Incomplete submissions require additional lead time and will not be scheduled for review until all required elements have been received. Please contact us if you need assistance or have questions about the submission process. Once a complete set of submission elements is submitted for review, Quorum will assign a Study Manager to your study and schedule a review date. Following the Board review, your Study Manager will contact you with the outcome, including any consent form revisions or further information that the Board has requested. If the Board has requested consent form revisions, you will be asked to review them and submit additional changes as appropriate. Once the consent forms are finalized and any follow-up issues are resolved, your Study Manager will provide you with a Letter of Approval. |
