About the Presenters:

Mitchell Parrish joined Quorum Review IRB in January 2010 as a Regulatory Attorney in Quorum Review’s Regulatory Department. Prior to working at Quorum, Mr. Parrish worked as Regulatory Counsel for Western IRB and as a regulatory advisor to the National Cancer Institute’s Central IRB. Mr. Parrish is CIP certified.

Mr. Parrish earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2006, and was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in the fall of 2006. Additionally, Mr. Parrish is a member of the American Bar Association. During law school, Mr. Parrish worked as a court certified law clerk for the Lane County Counsel’s Office and served as an Extern to former Washington State Supreme Court Chief Justice, Gerry L. Alexander. Mr. Parrish completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002.

Claire Carbary joined Quorum Review IRB in September of 2009 as a Regulatory Attorney in Quorum Review’s Regulatory Department. Prior to working at Quorum, Ms. Carbary worked as a Regulatory Analyst and Legal Intern at Western IRB. Ms. Carbary recently passed the Certified IRB Professional Exam and received her CIP certification. She currently serves as a member of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research (NWABR) and Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R).

Ms. Carbary received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University in 2007, and admitted to the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in the fall of 2007. In addition, Ms. Carbary is a member of the Health and Corporate Law Sections of the WSBA. During law school, Ms. Carbary worked as a legal intern for the Health and Long Term Care Committee with the Washington State Senate Committee Services, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Washington State Office of the Attorney General. Ms. Carbary completed her undergraduate studies at Washington State University, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2004.
