Ms. Carbary will present with Consent Solutions’ Susan G. Brink, DrPH, CEO, on “e-Informed Consent Form: Benefits and Challenges.” The presentation will examine implementation lessons learned from the viewpoint of the IRB, the consent provider, and the sponsors and clinical sites. Attendees can expect discussions on considerations in the review and approval of eConsent processes, meeting the requirements related to documentation of IRB review and approval, the use of eConsent, how an eConsent system may impact the IRB process, and possible pitfalls.

Ms. Carbary regularly delivers presentations related to research and IRB review, including social media trends and research, electronic consent, HIPAA requirements for researchers, safety and unanticipated problem reporting. Ms. Carbary received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University in 2007, and was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in the fall of 2007. She is a Certified IRB Professional and a member of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research and Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research.
