Portal Information for New Users
Quorum Review is excited about the expansion of its portal to all sites. Here, we will explain how to sign up for the Quorum web portal and how to use its key features. We believe that Quorum’s web portal will make the study start-up process with Quorum even more efficient and convenient than it already is. We hope you give it a try!
Signing Up for Portal Access
Quorum Review already is creating portal accounts for the investigators for whom we have e-mail addresses. After the portal goes live, Quorum will send each of these principal investigators an e-mail notification with a password and access instructions. These investigators also will receive instructions on how to sign up additional members of their staff for portal access. Quorum expects to send out these account notices in late February and March.
If Quorum does not have e-mail information for your site, we will send you a notice by facsimile by the end of March to collect that information. If instead you would prefer to update your email address with us now, click here to be connected to a web portal access request form.
Portal Features
Once you have access to Quorum’s web portal you will be able to view a secure part of our website. Once you sign in, you will have access to information and features such as:
- Retrieval of approval documents for your studies;
- A status report for your initial site submissions;
- Secure electronic submissions to Quorum;
- The IRB Roster;
- The Quorum Handbook; and
- The e-SIQ.
These features are discussed below in turn.
Retrieval of Approval Documents
The Quorum portal includes a list of each study for which the investigator has been approved. By clicking on any given protocol number, you’ll be able to view approval documents that have been posted for that study. Documents are posted here in Adobe Acrobat’s PDF format, which will allow you to print them at your convenience. You will not, however, be able to make changes to the forms – for changes to your documents you still will need to contact Quorum.
Quorum initially will sort your documents by approval type (Notice of Approval vs. Amended Approval, etc.). If you prefer, you will be able to sort the approval documents by date of posting.
Submission of Electronic Documents
You also can use the Quorum portal for the submission of materials to Quorum. You can submit scanned documents and other electronic documents, including CV’s, tracked consent forms or other SIQ attachments. Please note that Quorum’s signature requirements apply to these electronic documents. We urge you to review your documents carefully for any required signatures before scanning and sending them to Quorum.
The Startup Report
The Startup Report (formerly known as the Site Submission Status Report) provides a window into our site submission process. You can use the Report to check on the status of any of your submissions prior to initial approval. If your submission has been received and entered into our system but is awaiting follow-up, it will be flagged in red and appear as NOT YET ACTIVE. If a submission has been received, is complete and is awaiting review it will be flagged in green and appear as IN PROGRESS. Finally, the submission will be flagged in yellow and appear as ACTIVE if and when it is approved by the IRB. This Update is updated several times a day and can be accessed at any time for the most current status.
The IRB Roster
The IRB Roster is a current list of the members of the Quorum Review IRB as well as their positions and their individual appointment dates to the Board.
The Quorum Handbook
The Quorum Handbook is available on the Portal (and also under this link). The Handbook sets forth Quorum’s policies and procedures for study oversight. You also may also contact Quorum directly for a hard copy of the Handbook.
Electronic Site Information Questionnaire
Finally, Quorum’s e-SIQ will be located within Quorum’s portal area. The e-SIQ is a web-based, interactive version of Quorum’s submission application. The e-SIQ is a “smart” form that includes instantaneous answers to frequently asked questions, alerts the author to any unanswered questions and can be saved as a prepopulated template. Read more about Quorum’s e-SIQ.
