Database Changes Will Make Investigators' Submissions EasierNext year, investigators will start to enjoy another benefit of working with Quorum as a central IRB. In response to your requests, Quorum will begin centrally storing investigator-specific information so that investigators no longer have to provide routine documentation over and over. Our goal is to eliminate the need for a site to send in a C.V. and other documents with every single submission. We believe this change will save everyone time and effort. To make this change, we will need to start using a unique identifier code for each of our customer contacts in the spring of 2006. We also will begin standardizing our citation format for names and addresses. In the coming months, you may notice slight changes to the citations of your name, company name, or address in the documents we generate. If you have any questions or preferences as to how your unique information is recorded and cited, please feel free to contact us. Maintaining one unique record per investigator will allow Quorum to rely on our electronic systems to retrieve information when a new site submission arrives at our door. The information Quorum intends to store centrally includes items such as investigator and sub-investigator curriculum vitaes; investigator and facility FDA audit documentation; and medical licensure information. Returning investigators will not need to submit this information every time they use Quorum in a study, but can look forward to only having to update this information periodically. |
