(Quorum) recently received "Full Accreditation" by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), in Washington, D.C. Accreditation is a process by which an organization voluntarily chooses to abide by standards established by an accrediting body. Accreditation is used often in education and medicine, but also has expanded into other professions. AAHRPP was the first accrediting body to offer accreditation to organizations that conduct or review research with human participants and has been accrediting human research protection programs since 2003.
