Quorum Regulatory Attorney, J. Claire Carbary, JD, CIP, will co-present with Joseph Kim, Clinical Operations Director at Shire, in a panel session on “Case Study: eConsents on the iPad,” Sunday, April 14, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Ms. Carbary and Mr. Kim will present an actual case study involving deployment of eConsent technology delivered on the iPad. The session will include perspectives from the sponsor and IRB and will focus on site experiences and lessons, providing an overview of the process involved in econsent activity using the iPad as well as cover documentation, review and approval in the consent process. Ms. Carbary and Mr. Kim will be joined by Linda Harper and Shawna Martin from CNS Healthcare, Inc.

About J. Claire Carbary, JD, CIP
Ms. Carbary regularly delivers presentations related to research and IRB review, including social media trends and research, electronic consent, HIPAA requirements for researchers, safety and unanticipated problem reporting. Ms. Carbary received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University in 2007, and was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in the fall of 2007. She is a Certified IRB Professional and a member of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research and Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research.
